Continue on with Pam and David, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, New Lanark, Hadrian's Wall, North Berwick, Alnwick Castle, Flew down to Southampton (England) and visited Stonehenge, Avbury Henge, Salisbury Cathedral, took the Ferry from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight and visited Osborne House. While visiting Pam & David in Edinburgh, Took a flight over to Paris for a few days, toured Paris and went to Versailles.

2020

January 2020 trip to Chicago (by Air) for Joseph's Bootcamp Graduation.  Visited sites around Chicago including the Navy Pier and the Chrome Peanut.  Took a drive up the coast to Lake Michigan to visit a couple of lighthouses and as far as Milwaukee Wisconsin.

March - Sedona Roadtrip  (with Debbie & Brian Tankersley)

Long Road Trip (15 May 2020 - 20 August 2020)  San Benito Thousand Trails , Russian River Thousand Trails Coastal loop through the Anderson Valley and down to Bodega Bay followed by a stop to visit the Wesselkampers in Sebastopol. North through the Redwoods to the Turtle Beach RV Park in Gold Beach Oregon.  North again to  the Thousand trails South Jetty Resort in Florence, Oregon.  Visited the Haceta Head Lighthouse. North Again to Thousand trails at Seaside, Oregon where we were joined for a couple of days by Janice Armstrong.  Visited Cannon Beach and Seaside before Janice left.  Spent a day exploring Astoria Oregon and crossed the Columbia River to check out the Long Beach Thousand Trails Park in Washington.  Heading North East, through Tacoma Washington we moved on to The Thousand Trails, Crescent Bar Resort in Quincy, Washington.  From there we headed East through Idaho and on to the KOA in Deer Lodge, Montana. Had to spend a day working on the motorhome to replace the chain on the slideout.   From Deer Lodge, we headed on to Miles City Montana and the KOA resort Miles City.  Here we got a chance to meet Mickey McFarland and visit the family's Bison Bar.  From Miles City it was off across North Dakota to Bismarck, with a stop off on the way at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  Spent a couple of days seeing the sights of Bismarck before heading off to Cloquet,  Minnesota. Spent a couple of weeks exploring the area and visiting with family.  Side trips included visiting Duluth, the North Shore, and over into Wisconsin.  After leaving Cloquet it was off to Sioux Falls South Dakota.  Next we headed west though Mitchell South Dakota with a stop at the Corn Palace.  As we crossed the Missouri River we stopped off to see the Incredible statue of a Sioux woman titled "Dignity"(of Earth and Sky).  Of course we had to stop in at Wall Drug before heading on to Rapid City.  In Rapid City we stopped at Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the Custer State Park.  A side trip took us through Spearfish Canyon and to a couple of the sites where "Dances with Wolves" was filmed then on into Deadwood.  South of Rapid city we visited The Mammoth Site where they are still unearthing the remains of numerous Mammoths.  Back through Montana with a stop in Billings and a tour of the billings area.  From Billings we took a day and drove the Beartooth Highway and into Yellowstone from the back side.  Next we went back into Washing and stayed at the Thousand trails Silver Creek, which sits in the mountains between Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens.  We spent a day exploring each.  Next we were off to Pacific City Oregon and the Thousand Trails "Whaler's Rest".  Janice came up for another visit, since this park is only about an hour's drive from her home.  Off again and a stop at the KOA in Medford Oregon.  This was a great stop as Crater Lake was showing off for us.  On the way back down along the Rogue River we stopped to hike to a Natural Bridge where the river drops underground into a lava tube and emerges about 100 yards downstream. Back to California crossing Lake Shasta and stopping in Redding to camp.  Visited Lassen National Park and Burney Falls.  From there it was down to the Thousand Trails at Morgan Hill.  Here we took a drive into San Jose and met Margaret Allison for lunch at a local bistro then visited Frank and Charlotte in Salinas on the way back.  From Morgan Hill we headed south to Paso Robles to visit the family there. Before finally heading back home to San Marcos.

2021

29 April - 7 May  Bryce Zion Road Trip (with Debbie & Brian Tankersley)  First stop Las Vegas and Thousand trails.  Visited the National Nuclear Testing Museum, some of the casinos and the Fremont Street Experience.  Took a trip through the Valley If Fire State Park.  Next it was off to Kanab Utah and the Grand Plateau RV Park.  Tour of Zion National Park (day trip). Tour of Zion National Park (day trip).  Brian brought his telescope so at night we were able to se some incredible sights in the sky.  Next to was off to the Grand Canyon Railroad RV park.  Took a day trip to Horseshoe Bend and on to the Indian ruins at Wapatki then in through the East entrance of the Grand Canyon visiting the sites East of the Visitor's Center.  The next day we headed up through the south entrance to the visitor center and off to the sites on the west end of the park.

June  Visit by Air to visit Wiegels at new home in Knoxville. Trip cut short because we bought a home in Tennessee and went home to sell the California home.

July 25  Leave for move to Tennessee.  Broke down in Albuquerque, New Mexico then proceeded on in car with U-haul trailer. Arriving 30 June.
